2013 -2018 Animal Management Plan
Council continues to meet the needs of pets and their owners while respecting the rights of other members of the community and protecting the environment. Therefore Council has recently updated its Animal Management Plan (AMP) to include Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). The Animal Management Plan 2013-2018 will continue to guide animal management by the Coorong District Council over the next 5 years.
The community were invited to have input into this plan through a community engagement process. The engagement process, which included advertisements, website and social media was undertaken between July-September 2013. At the close of the engagement process, no submissions were received. Council adopted this plan at its 17 September 2013 meeting. The Dog & Cat Management Board have since offered their approval of the Plan of Management on the 1st November 2013, in accordance with Section 26A of the Dog and Cat Management Act 1995 for a period of five years.
