The Cooronggallery delivers a broad exhibition programme representing local, touring and emerging artists. Located within the Coorong Council office at Tailem Bend, it comprises 2 separate exhibition spaces and presents 6 curated exhibitions per calendar year.

Cooronggallery is a Council supported initiative that provides the opportunity to engage with local community artists, history and ideas.

WHAT IS NATIONAL RECONCILIATION WEEK

National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
The dates for NRW are the same each year; 27 May to 3 June.
These dates commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey— the successful 1967 referendum, and the High Court Mabo decision respectively.

The Coorong District Council will be hosting three exhibitions during the SALA Festival in 2022.

The SALA festival is a wonderful platform to support emerging and established artists in our region in what gets state-wide attention.

This year’s SALA theme for the Coorong Galleries will be ‘looking out/ looking in‘, focusing on the world outside, or are we looking in and imagining the world within.

Lest We Forget

This April the Coorong Gallery pays tribute to those who have served for our country.
'Lest We Forget' honors and remembers those who have served in the armed forces from our district.
Discover the stories of our local soldiers and the important role they have played in the Australia we are all able to live in and enjoy today.
Exhibition on display until 4th May 2022.

Coorong Gallery Exhibition - Lest we forget April 2022

This August the Coorong Gallery will explode with color and emotion as Council hosts its 2021 SALA exhibition. Titled 'A Moment in Time', it is expected that this year's exhibition will host an array of mediums and subjects as local artists present their interpretation of a moment in time.

It's a look, a picture. its an emotion that we feel and capture either with a photo, on canvas or a sculpture at that moment in time.
