Murray Mallee Community Passenger Network

The Murray Mallee Community Passenger Network (MMCPN) is managed by the Tailem Bend Community Centre. Who are available to assist people living in regional communities who are transport disadvantaged by:

  • Assessing your eligibility.
  • Providing advice on transport options.
  • Advising of your Passenger Rights and Responsibilities.
  • Assisting with general transport enquiries.

Murray Mallee Community Passenger Network and Medical Bus Services

The Medical Bus Service provides transport to those living in the District Council areas of Coorong, Karoonda East Murray, Mid Murray, Rural City of Murray Bridge, Southern Mal lee and Tatiara. Operating from Keith to Adelaide, Monday to Friday.

Medical appointments in Adelaide need to be between 11 am and 2pm (finished by 2.30pm)

The Community Passenger Network provides transport with a volunteer driver, to those living in District Council areas of Coorong, Karoonda East Murray, Southern Mallee and The Rural City of Murray Bridge.

Both services can assist with transport to eligible consumers of all ages.

Murray Mallee Community Transport Scheme

On 31 December 2018, the Murray Mallee Community Transport Scheme (MMCTS), which has existed over the last two decades as a regional subsidiary of the Coorong, Karoonda and Southern Mallee District Councils was wound up.

Tailem Bend Community Centre was successful in becoming the new provider for the Murray Mallee Community Passenger Network (CPN) service, and will assume oversight of the service and a new governance structure moving forward.
