Removal of wards at November 2022 Council Elections
At the local government elections in November, electors in the Coorong District Council will no longer elect Councillors for their own Ward.
Wards shall be removed, and the elected body of Council shall be made up of the Mayor and seven (7) area councillors, all of whom shall represent the entire Council area and shall be elected by the community at council-wide elections.
This means that candidates have either nominated to stand as an Area Councillor, or to stand for Mayor.
