Ordinary Council Meetings

Coorong District Council meets on the third Tuesday of each month* commencing at 5:00pm at the Coorong Civic Centre Chambers, 95-101 Railway Terrace, Tailem Bend.

Council meetings are recorded and livestreamed, ensuring that meetings are accessible to all members of the public. Meeting recordings are uploaded to Council's YouTube channel. Members of the public are also welcome to attend Council meetings in person, and observe from the gallery.

Members of the public who would like to submit a question during Public Question Time should register their interest upon entry to the Council Chamber and provide a written copy of the question at that time to the Mayor, CEO or minute taker. Public Question Time guidelines can be viewed in Appendix 1 of the Code of Practice for Proceedings of Council and Committee Meetings.

Persons wishing to make a Deputation to a Council meeting should submit their request in writing to the Mayor by midday of the day of the meeting (at the latest). The Mayor will consider the request and advise the applicant of his decision. * Council meetings are generally held on the third Tuesday of each month, excepting January (where the meeting is held on the fourth Tuesday), and June (where the meeting is held on the final Tuesday of the month).
