Tintinara Aerodrome Upgrade
Project Summary
The Tintinara Aerodrome will receive a number of upgrades, including:
- Reseal of the currently sealed Primary Runway and Taxiway
- Seal remainder of Primary Runway that is unsealed
- Rehabilitate unsealed Secondary Runway
- Rehabilitate unsealed Taxiway
- Replacement of Runway Lighting
- New line markings to the sealed Primary Runway
These upgrades have been made possible through joint funding from the Coorong District Council and the Australian Government's Regional Airports Program - Round 3.
Project Status
Works Commenced 26 March 2024
Works will commence on Monday, 26th March 2024 at the Tintinara Aerodrome. All works are anticipated to be complete by late April 2024.
The Airport will be closed to all air traffic whilst works are occurring during daytime hours. Council has worked closely with the CFS and it’s contractors around the timing of these works to minimise the impact on their ability to respond to emergencies.
The airport will be re-opened to air traffic outside of working hours and on weekends.
