Council undertakes a review of all assets each financial year. The Building & Structures Renewal Program aims to identify buildings and structures within the district that require renewal.
Current works and projects
Coonalpyn Pool Wastewater Upgrade
An upgrade to the wastewater system at the Coonalpyn Swimming Pool and Caravan Park is currently underway. Works are progressing as planned, with nearly all infrastructure installed.
Temporary Amenities Closure | 4 December
Please be aware that there will be a temporary closure of public amenities at the pool on Monday, 4 December 2023 to complete the final connection of the new system to the existing building. This will take place between 10am and 4pm.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused - alternate toilets can be found on the Dukes Highway, adjacent to the Viterra Silos.
These works will see a new septic tank and pump chamber installed to cater appropriately for the discharge from the adjacent Pool and Caravan Park amenities. A rising main will be installed to shift the waste liquids to the soakage trenches which are located some distance from the facilities due to the design requirements required for the system.
The project will occur in three stages to minimise impact and disruption to the Pool and Caravan Park users. The final stage is now underway:

All works will be from 7am Monday to Friday and work areas will be separated with safety fencing. There will be minor restrictions to vehicle access with workzone traffic management signage in place as required - please be aware of heavy plant and personnel operating in the area.
Please rest assured the Caravan Park and Pool will remain open for the duration of works. If you are in the area, please be aware of plant and personnel as these works progress.
