Community Wastewater Management Scheme - Renewal Program
Project Summary
The Community Wastewater Management Scheme (CWMS) Renewal Program focuses on renewing key assets identified through asset management strategies, customer feedback, and condition assessments.
As part of the program, Council previously conducted condition assessments on all CWMS pump chambers in Wellington East and the pump chambers categorized as “High” priority were selected for renewal.
Current Works
The rehabilitation works on the CWMS Pump Stations at Seymour Drive in Wellington East will start from the Monday of the 31st of August.

For residents near the pump stations on Seymour Street, contractors will be working in the street.
Work hours:
Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm, with occasional after-hours tanker truck movements to manage effluent flows.
Traffic management & Safety:
Traffic management will be in place throughout the duration of the works to ensure safe local traffic flow. Motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to follow the signage and instructions of traffic control officers.
Please exercise caution when passing through the area as there will be personnel working nearby. Renewal works of each pump station is expected to take approximately one week to complete.

Council has recently identified elevated levels of pollutants entering the Community Wastewater Management System (CWMS) in Tailem Bend.
