Governance & Policy Review Committee
The Governance & Policy Review Committee has been established under Section 41 of the Local Government Act 1999 to assist the administration in undertaking periodic reviews of:
- Council policies
- Section 41 Committee Terms of Reference
- Other organisational governance-based documents (as and when required)
The committee will fine-tune respective documents before presenting to full Council for adoption.
To support the committee’s document review endeavours, the Terms of Reference provides for the conduct of informal workshops and/or information sessions. Where an informal document review session is held, a formal meeting of the committee must follow to formalise and/or determine recommendations for Council’s consideration.
