2024/25 Footpath Expansion Program
The Footpath Network Expansion Strategy sets the criteria and structure to guide the expansion of Council’s current footpath network in a systematic and financially sustainable approach.
As part of Footpath Expansion program for 2024/25, Council will be constructing a footpath within the rail corridor to connect from the existing pedestrian crossing to the Tintinara APEX Park.
Footpath Construction works will include:
- Temporary Fencing Installation with ARTC track protection.
- Survey to indicate property boundaries.
- Vegetation clearance along the proposed path.
- Civil Works for footpath construction.
- Lay Hotmix Asphalt.
- 1.8 high Fencing Installation.
- Temporary Fencing removal with ARTC tracks protection.
Community may have noticed that temporary fencing has already been installed along the rail corridor.
The works will commence on Tuesday, 11th March 2025 and will follow the schedule below:

Pedestrians are advised to exercise caution around the plant and personnel that will be working in the area. The works are expected to take approximately five weeks to complete.
