Purpose
Support Act provides crisis relief to artists, artist managers, crew and music workers across all genres who are unable to work due to illness, injury, a mental health issue that is managed through a current mental health care plan or some other crisis, including the impact of COVID-19 on live music.
Please be advised that Support Act has now expended the funds that were generously made available by the Australian Government. Thanks to their support, more than 15,000 Crisis Relief Grants valued at over $35 million have been provided to music and live performing arts workers since March 2020.
Amount
We have a limited number of Crisis Relief Grants available thanks to funding provided by our donors and sponsors. In an effort to stretch these funds as far as possible, grants are now being offered at $1,000 for an individual and $1,500 for a family.
