Community Groups Invited to Promote Local Events for Free
Community groups, sporting clubs, not-for-profits and volunteer-led organisations across the Coorong district are encouraged to take advantage of a free opportunity to promote their upcoming events and activities.
Whether it’s a community fundraiser, sporting competition, market, workshop, festival, social gathering or club activity, Coorong District Council wants to help local organisations reach a wider audience and increase community participation.
Through the Council's communication channels, eligible events can be promoted for free via:
- Coorong District Council’s website events calendar
- Council social media channels
- Community newsletters and promotional publications
- Other Council marketing and communication materials where appropriate
Coorong District Council’s Acting Mayor Cr. Jonathan Pietzsch said the Council is committed to supporting the valuable work undertaken by local community organisations.
“Community groups, sporting clubs and not-for-profit organisations are the heart of our communities. They bring people together, create opportunities for connection and contribute significantly to the vibrancy of our district,” says Cr. Pietzsch.
“By promoting local events through Council’s communication channels, we can help organisations reach more people and encourage greater community involvement.”
Event organisers are invited to submit details of upcoming events well in advance to maximise promotional opportunities.
Share Your Event with the Community
This simple initiative aims to help local groups increase awareness of their activities, attract new participants and celebrate the great work being done throughout the Coorong district.
If your organisation has an event coming up, Coorong District Council wants to hear from you. To submit an event, simply provide:
- Event name
- Date and time
- Location
- Description
- Contact details
- Website or booking information (if applicable)
- Event image or promotional artwork
