Warren Davies, The Unbreakable Farmer is coming to the Coorong
Warren Davies, The Unbreakable Farmer, is visiting communities in the Coorong District Council to spread the message of mental health this August, thanks to the support of a $10,000 State Emergency Relief Fund grant secured by Coorong District Council.
Warren is not just your average farmer – his eventful life has tested his resilience, persistence and determination, and had a massive impact on his young family, relationships and finances.
Now a professional speaker and mental health advocate, Warren’s authentic, inspiring, and sometimes confronting presentation on mental health is focussed on communication, community connection and seeking help.
His down-to-earth approach makes his story and strategies relevant to everyone. Whether the audience is from the country or city, a small business owner or the CEO of a large corporation, or someone looking for some clear direction.
$10,000 in funding has been received from the South Australian Government’s State Emergency Relief Fund, which has provided Coorong District Council, in conjunction with the region’s Suicide Prevention Network – Coorong Conversations Matter, the opportunity to host four events across the district from 7 - 11 August 2024.
Communities across the Coorong District Council are invited to hear Warren speak about mental health and the importance of tools and resources to help as well as the need for us to speak to people in our support network. More than just a farmer, Warren is a brother, husband, father, son and mate, and relates to all backgrounds.
Coorong District Council’s Mayor Paul Simmons encourages residents to attend one of the four events.

“Warren’s presentations are authentic and inspiring, and they provide people with strategies they can take home and implement in their day to day lives to overcome challenges and keep them moving forward," says Mayor Paul Simmons.
Community groups and organisations have gotten behind Warren’s visit, hosting a range of free afternoon teas, community BBQ’s, subsidised dinners, and a fundraising drive for Drive Against Depression at the Shell V-Power Motorsport Park.
