Wellington East Water Supply

In late 2020 some issues were identified with the pump for the Wellington East Non-Potable Water Scheme.
An emergency alternative suction point from the Wellington East Marina was identified and implemented as an interim solution.
The water supplied from the Wellington East Non-Potable Water Scheme has been independently tested by the Australian Water Quality Centre. Test results received are within permissible limits for non-potable water and it is confirmed that water supplied from the system is suitable to be used for non-drinking purposes.
Options are also being investigated for a long-term solution to the current issue with the inlet suction point.
